Developments in Directing.

Location: Female dressing room, Wilton's Music Hall, London





Its been over a week since my last blog post, but my location remains the same - its my day to do the laundry. But staying in one place means I can sit down and do some work.





I have a few items of news on the directing front.





Item 1: I am officially assistant director for new opera These Things Happen at the Courtyard Theatre this January (on my birthday in fact). We're having our callbacks this Sunday which is very exciting and I can't wait to get into rehearsals!





Item 2: I am also assistant director for a new play called Seven Seven. We're currently in script workshop preparations and this looks to be another exciting venture.





Item 3: Me and Eleanor are going to produce our first joint play. We have begun planning our debut production of Old Rabbis in the Sky, a piece by Eleanor and we're currently awaiting venue booking confirmation for March 2012. We've given ourselves a name for our working company (drum roll please).........





Absent Theatre Company.





We went through a number of names but the ones we loved were already taken. But we like this one too, of course. I've added a page to my blog to keep track of our progress and look out on Twitter and Facebook for even more internet presence once the ball gets rolling.
