November

Location: The 185 bus, London

Sometimes I feel like I'm not keeping the blog fully up to date, which is a shame. But then I realise its because I'm actually too busy with lovely work stuff to sit down and update it. And I snap out of it and feel much better.

So then.

We finished Britannicus on the 19th November. An emotional affair for all concerned (particularly because stage management was shattered after the get out). Wilton's gave us a lovely send off and I will miss all the staff who have made me feel so welcome on my first proper London theatre job. They've been excellent.

But I don't miss ironing. For an hour. every. single. day

Rehearsals are well underway for These Things Happen. The writer (Jonathan) took me on a visit to see the venue which was really cool. I can visualise our show more clearly now. As Assistant Director AND Stage Manager I'm on a prop hunt, but its not looking as tough as Britannicus, only interesting item is a Union Jack teapot. We got our posters through at the start of this week and I'm nearly giddy at the prospect of directing a London show in a London venue!

I'm also working Front of House for Greenwich Theatre for their pantomime Aladdin. Its a lovely show and good fun to watch. Its nice to have a little bit of cash near Christmas too.

And I've just come from teching another comedy gig. Yep. Things are going well.
